Marie began her career as a recording engineer in Seattle. After a year of studio work, she realized her calling was on the other side of the glass.  Marie moved to Los Angeles, recorded two CDs and performed original and cover songs with her band.

​Marie launched her voice-over career after a chance meeting with Don Cornelius (the voice of Soul Train).  He told her she had "an amazing voice" and made her promise him she'd do something with it.

After taking an eight-year break to raise her family, Marie returned to entertainment after her daughter became interested in acting.  When directors needed a mother cast alongside her daughter, Marie began her stage and on-camera work which naturally lead back into voice-over work for her.
